Russel Braga is a contemporary composer, guitarist, and educator. He enjoys writing evocative music of the Yucatán Peninsula where he was born. His concert music blends traditional and modern elements of classical music with various elements of Yucatecan peasant music. He holds a double major degree in Music and Spanish from Southern Methodist University.
